3d typography

This project was a 3D Type installation. The objective was to choose a word and then use a material that represented or related to the meaning of the word. We also had to choose a typeface to write the word in that related to the meaning of the word as well. I choose Futura, because it is a bold, sturdy and prominent typeface with weight and presence.

My word was 'Integrity'. The concept was when a viewer looked at the word they would see their reflection in the mirror/glass. The word was created from shattered glass, giving the effect of something broken. The idea was when the viewer saw their broken reflection and the strong word 'Integrity' they would think, “I do not want to shatter my INTEGRITY”. So it was a piece of self-reflection, projecting the viewers inner thoughts on themselves when they looked at the piece.
